Yes, we have a secure key drop box.

Is there a fee to evaluate my car’s repair needs?

If we do the repair work the evaluation and diagnostic is included. If you have your car evaluated and diagnosed at Nobles Automotive of Wilkes and do not, then have the repair done you will be charged for the evaluation. When you return to Nobles to have the repair work done, the diagnostic fee charged for the original problem will be credited to your repair invoice.

What causes my Auto AC to lose freon?
Freon is a non-combustible gas that does not “run out” on your vehicle. However, if there is a leak in one of the hoses that house freon, then it could leak. This could cause your vehicle to lose freon needed to properly cool the air on your AC system.
When should I get my oil changed?
  • Semi-synthetic oil - Every 4,000 miles
  • Synthetic oil - Every 5,000 miles
What are the signs that my vehicles need brake service?
  • Vibration While Braking – If you feel vibration while braking you should have then checked right away.
  • Squealing brakes - If you hear a squealing sound when pressing the brakes, then you should have them checked right away.
  • Increased stopping distance - Increased stopping distance is a sign that your vehicle’s braking system should be inspected.
  • The nose of the vehicle pulls to one end during braking - If your vehicle pulls to one side during braking, then one of your brakes may need service.
Why does my car need maintenance if it's running fine?
Regular maintenance of your vehicle protects your investment, helps to prevent breakdowns, and will save you on the cost of repairs in the future.
How often should I get tire service?
  • Tire rotation - Every 6,000 to 8,000 miles
  • Tire balancing - Every 5,000 to 7,500 miles
  • Tire inspection - At least once per year.
Is a smoking muffler common?

It is quite common for a healthy muffler to give out a thin vapor-like smoke due to condensation being burned off. However, black, grey, or blue smoke is a sure sign that something is wrong with your muffler or exhaust and the vehicle should be serviced right away.

What can cause a check engine light?

There are many reasons for your engine light to come on. Including a loose or missing fuel cap, Catalytic converter issues, irregular readings from the mass airflow sensor, irregular readings from the oxygen sensor or spark plug issues.

What are the signs that my suspension may need service or repair?
  • The vehicle is pulling to the side
  • The vehicle has trouble driving over uneven roads or dips
  • You have trouble steering the vehicle
  • The vehicle continues to bounce after going over a bumps
  • You are experiencing slipping action when steering The tires are shaking or straying
Can I still drive with my check engine light on?

While you can still drive your vehicle with a check engine light on, it is highly recommended that you have the car serviced as soon as possible. Driving with a check engine light could cause damage to your vehicle that can lead to costly repairs.

What Warranty is included for repair work?

Most Repairs come with a 12 month/12,000-mile warranty.
